By the decision of the Attestation Board of the Ministry (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 886, dated July 2, 2020), the "Scientific Herald of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine" has been included in the List of Accredited Scholarly Journals of Ukraine (Category "B") in the fields of cultural studies and art studies, specialty 025 – Musical Art (B5).

Scope and Subject Areas

The Scientific Herald publishes scholarly articles in the field of musicology, including:

  • music theory and history
  • musical performance
  • professional music education
  • methodology of musicological research

All publications correspond to specialty 025 – Musical Art, in accordance with the official List of Accredited Scholarly Journals of Ukraine in the field of art studies.

The journal features results of academic research, including dissertations submitted for the degrees of:

  • Candidate of Art Studies (PhD equivalent)
  • Doctor of Art Studies
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
  • Doctor of Arts

within specialties 17.00.03 and 025 – Musical Art.

At present, the editorial board does not accept submissions containing materials related to Russian topics.

The journal is published three times per year.
Each issue comprises approximately 15 publisher's sheets.

The editorial board adheres to an open access policy, based on the principle that free and unrestricted access to research results facilitates global knowledge exchange.

The journal supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
