
The Scientific Herald of the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music publishes articles on issues of musicology (music theory and history, musical performance, higher music education, and the methodology of musicological research) within specialty 025 (B5) “Musical Art,” in accordance with the List of Specialized Academic Publications of Ukraine in the field of Art Studies.

The publication is intended for specialists in musical art, a broad circle of practicing musicians, educators, and students of institutions of professional higher and pre-higher music education.
The purpose of the journal is to ensure scholarly communication and the approbation of the results of contemporary musicological research, to represent current achievements in music theory, music history, and performance art, and to facilitate the integration of Ukrainian scholarly discourse into the international academic space.
Among the objectives of the journal are:
– to introduce into scholarly circulation the results of relevant musicological research, including those conducted within the framework of dissertations for the degrees of Candidate and Doctor of Art Studies, Doctor of Philosophy, and Doctor of Arts in specialties 17.00.03 and 025 (B5) “Musical Art”;
– to provide analytical interpretation of fundamental scholarly works (monographs, etc.) in the format of reviews and critical assessments;
– to shape and develop contemporary musicological discourse through the coverage of the latest theoretical, historical, and performance concepts;
– to promote professional dialogue between established scholars and early-career researchers and performers in the context of the development of Ukrainian and global musical art.
At present, the editorial board does not accept for consideration articles containing materials related to Russian themes.
